Manushya Tatha Shri Krishna Ki shareer Rachna mein Antar
The difference between the composition of the body between humans and Shri Krishna
Manushya Tatha Shri Krishna Ki shareer Rachna mein Antar
(Taken from the book Lekh and Updesh –Pravachan on 25-8-1938 Compiled in Hindi by Smt Dhiruben Patel )
(Sadguru Swami Gangeshwaranandji Maharaj Udaseen)
In the earlier days we have discussed that we all are part of Brahman. This whole world is Brahman (birthless, deathless, changeless).
This bhav of being Brahman is camouflaged by maya. Except the Creator (ParamPita) this whole creation is covered by maya and is immersed in maya.
Bhagwan Shri Krishna is the Lord of Maya and hence is not under her. Until and unless we stop identifying with this body we shall never know
our real self and we cannot release our self from the ties of relationships of husband/son.
Once this veil is lifted we will be able to establish a relationship with Brahman who has a Jyoti-swarup.
The light of our atma can then merge with the universal light.
When Bhagwan Shri Krishna took this human form, His body was like ours. Like us He had two hands ,two feet, two eyes etc.
If His body is like ours then how is it that He is not covered with Maya? Our real self is camouflaged by Maya so how come His is not?
There is a difference between our body and His. The similarity is only superficial.
The composition of our body is from the reproductive cells of our parents. Bhagwan’s body is of Maya and not made up of any elements.
There is never any change in Him. In our body we have constant change. The Lord had the same body in Ram Avatar and in Krishna Avatar.
A tortoise shows its body at times and hides it at different times . Similarly the Lord too shows His real form only some times.
Some of the Various Avatar HE takes are Narsimha Avatar, Koorma Avatar, Varah Avatar and Ram Avatar.
Shukdev Maharaj tells King Parikshit:
(Bh.10,21,14)
O ! King
Indestructible, not a subject of knowledge that needs proof, beyond all gunas, and the creator of this world of gunas– that formless
Lord takes a `form’ for the benefit of humans.
The Lord takes form for the welfare of man. The Lord is not in the cycle of life and death like man.
Childhood, adolescence, old age are all for the ordinary human and not for the Lord.
He is without any `gunas’. He is beyond the 3 `gunas’ of Maya.
Maya rules over Jeevas and the Lord rules over Maya. Maya is unable to do anything to Him.
A minister rules over the people not over the King .In fact the king rules over the minister. Maya is the minister of the Lord .He is the dispeller of
the `gunas’ and he is the Lord of the gunas. The Lord takes the Mayic form for the sake of his Bhakts.
A tahisldar does his duty, collects his wages and then goes away when the hours of duty are over.
On the other hand the King supervises all the facilities for his people .He makes a lot of effort for the well being of his state.
Does he do that so that he can collect wages? No ,never!
He comes to the town to supervise and ease the problems of his people. His motive is to bring happiness to his people.
The emperor of all emperors `Jagdeeshwar’ also takes Avatar for the welfare of his people on this earth.
Just as a king visits the prison of his kingdom to inspect it ,and not because he is imprisoned for a crime ,the Lord too desended on earth for the sake of His bhakts and not due to any karma.
There is a difference in His capabilities and ours so naturally there will be a difference in the body make up also. The Jeevas’ body is made up of 5 elements.
In the very beginning Maya was first associated with `Brahman’. After that the 5 elements (earth, water, fire, air and ether) came about .
After that the 5 organs of karma , 5 organs of senses,5 pranas, mind, ego and intellect were created.
All these together are called the body (ling shareer).
After death this `ling shareer’ remains but keeps changing the body(chola). There is always a change in the attire (chola).
A soldier’s sword remains the same although the sheath can change several times.
The body also has 2 parts—-subtle and gross( sukshm and sthula shareer.)
According to Vedanta if we were to understand and examine this `Panchikarna’it will be like this-
Please note:
(Swamiji have used the description of annas to indicate divisions of the whole. The rupee was generally said to have 16 annas and
thus would be equivalent of saying 100 paise today. Half a rupee was 8 anna. Quarter was 4 anna.)
At first the earth element is divided into two .One of the two parts remain
with it and the remaining 8 annas merge with the other 4 elements.
Thus the rest of the 4 elements each have 2 annas of the earth element.
Next the element water is divided into 2 out of which the 8 annas remains with it
and the other 8 annas merges with the other4 elements.
Similar to the above the rest of the 4 elements get 2 annas of the water and the major
portion of 8 annas remains with water.
Same rule applies to the other elements also. This becomes a very big `company’.
When you make a company you should also learn to do business. These days people only
learn to break companies.
When a son inherits property from his ancestors he does not do business with it but instead divides the property worth crores into fragments
of lakhs which vanishes in a short time.
We have not learnt anything from the Vedant shastras.
The 5 elements have done such a perfect business in partnership that it has lasted for so many years.
It can run for another crore years also. This partnership can never be broken as each one has an equal share.
If water wants to destroy the earth then the water element that is within the earth shall also be destroyed!
This way each one will be scared about its own destruction.
You should also learn to run your company so that this country can progress.
Contribute your portion and then make this company ( Bharat Varsh) successful..
If this happens no one dare break up this company!
Nowadays people make their own individual companies which break in no time .
If the companies were run as do the 5 elements then Bharat would be a country to reckon with.
The 5 elements when subdivided can take a gross form. part/individual whole/cosmic.
A plant is called ”paudha”and when all plants are together they are called garden-“bageecha’.
Same way the individual gross body is called “Vishwa’ and the Cosmic gross body is called `Virat’.
The subtle individual body is called `Taijas’ and the cosmic subtle body is called `Hiranyagarbha’.
If we say that the Lord is an individual gross body then it would not be right to put Him in the same league as an ordinary being.
If we say that he is the Cosmic gross body then the Braj Leela would not be possible.
It would be incorrect to call Him an individual subtle body also. The cosmic subtle body is `Hiranyagarbha’ and as He is the controller of this
Hiranyagarbha , this description is also not valid..
In the Bhagwad there is a katha where Brahma’s doubt regarding Krishna’s divinity was destroyed.
To conclude we should not think of the Lord’s body as made up of the 5 elements .
We can call it Mayic ( of Maya). Vyasdev has therefore addressed Him as `Bhagwat’.
