AN APPEAL TO THE LORD FOR WORLDWIDE FAME.
Vasudev Rishi says- “Hey! Bhagwan, may I attain fame in Dhyulok and Bhulok with your grace. May I get the fame like Indra, Brahaspati, and Aditya.
They are honored and revered and I too want the same status. In my dreams also may fame not be denied to me and also may
I not renounce this desire for fame even in my dreams!
May I be awarded with praises and may my laurels be sung in this gathering.
I even want to be honored and revered among the intelligent people and may I be the best speaker with extremely good oratory skills.
Make my speech inspiring and worthy of applause.
RICHA NO 52
(ADHYAYA 6—KHAND-4-RICHA 1)
GURU’S BENEVOLENCE.
Vaamdev Rishi prays to Gurudev. He says- “You are the best among all. In your mouth the speech that is radiant resides. It is invincible.
You are the one who gives the wealth of Bhakti and Gyan.
Please grant us Sattvic radiance and the darshan of the Lord. Oh! Yogi raj be pleased with the seva rendered to you and may you grant the disciple
Gyan and Bhakti. May the devotee approach you with complete Shraddha (unconditional faith).
The Guru gives the teachings of the Maha Vakyas (Tat Tvam Asi, Aham Brahamsi etc.) and grants immediate Moksha to the disciples who have approached him.
RICHA NO 53.
(ADHYAYA-6, KHAND- 4, RICHA -2).
THE SEASONS SHOULD NOT HAMPER OUR SPIRITUAL PURSUITS.
A Devotee prays to the Lord and says –“Oh! Lord . May the spring season be enjoyable and pleasant for me. May this spring season be suitable for my Yoga practises.
May the summer season also be conducive for my austerities. May the winter, autumn and rainy season also be helpful for my Sadhana. May all the seasons be good for all the Sadhaks.
Please be benevolent and see that the different seasons are not an obstacle in my spiritual practises.
According to the ‘Shatpat Brahmana’ these seasons are Prajapati Agni only and the Lord Himself takes the form of all the seasons and showers grace on one and all.
The appeal is made in this Stuti to the Lord to be kind enough and make all the seasons moderate so that there are no hindrances in the spiritual pursuits of the devotees.
RICHA NO 54.
(ADHYAYA 6, KHAND 4, RICHA 8).
ABUNDANCE IN BOTH THE WORLDS.
Vaamdev Gautam Rishi prays to the Bhu lok (the earth) and the Dhyu Lok (the heaven) and appeals to the Presiding deity of both –
the Bhu Lok and Dhyu Lok to be the saviour and protector.
He says-“Oh Lord! You have given abundance and plenitude in both the worlds and have spread it everywhere. You are the source of our happiness.
Please rid us of our sins and make us pure!
From the viewpoint of Yog the abundance that is cited here is the wealth of all kinds of yogas like mantra yoga etc. that the Lord has granted His devotees.
RICHA NO 55.
(ADHYAYA 6-KHAND 4- RICHA 9).
THE THREE FORMS OF THE LORD.
Hey Vishwarooopi Parmatma! Your two eyes are the Sun and Moon. Both your ears are the Directions.
In the Mundaka Upanishad in the context of Vishwaroop Darshan of the Lord, it is mentioned that the forehead of the Lord is AGNI and the eyes are
Sun and Moon and the ears are the directions.
Intellectuals and the wise men constantly pray and applaud such a Lord with Ved Mantras.
They constantly sing the STUTIS.
Prabhu! You take the form of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh along with Saraswati , Laxmi and Parvati and you manifest the world, preserve it and finally dissolve it.
These Devis are most gracious as they help the human beings to achieve wealth and other comforts.
I constantly pray to these three forms of yours accompanied by the three Devis.
The wise always pray to them!
RICHA NO 56.
(ADHYAYA 6-KHAND -4-RICHA 10).
CHANT VEDIC MANTRAS FOR PROSPERITY.
With the grace of the Lord may we have abundance of gold, silver and all kinds of wealth.
The effulgence of the rays of the Sun and the wealth of cattle like cows etc., May the Lord grant us these. The Lord is beyond the scope of time and space.
May we bring welfare to everyone by chanting the Vedic mantras.
May we all be endowed with the bounties of wealth, cattle and may we excel in the teachings of the Vedas and know the higher reality.
RICHA NO 57.
PRAYERS FOR CONQUERING THE ENEMIES.
The Rishi prays to the Lord—Hey Indra Roopi Parmeshwar please grant us the might to conquer our enemies. You are the presiding deity of STRENGTH and MIGHT.
The strength that we seek is the one that is special for all human beings because this will make our enemies bow down and concede defeat.
Please make their strategies weak so that we are not harmed or easily conquered by them.
RICHA NO 58.
VASUNDHARA — OUR MOTHER EARTH.
This hymn is addressed to the Cows.
Cows that are accompanied by the bull and calves, and are capable of giving milk twice a day and are of many hues like black, blue, white—
May we acquire such cows who will graze on the Bhu-Mandala.
The underlying meaning is that we should look after cows and graze them where there is an abundance of rain and the soil is fertile!
Please make the sweet water of the rivers and wells safe and good for drinking.
The gist of this Richa is that we should dwell in places where there is water, good soil and the land is congenial for taking care of cows.
