Some parts of the eloquent words that we heard are quoted below.
“Since 1956 Swami Govindanandji was in the seva of Gurudev.”
“A saint has to just do sankalp ( a mental resolve) and get the work done unlike a social worker who has to make tremendous efforts.”
“Some chirags (lamps) give light to thousands of other lamps. Such people are not born but take ‘avatar’.— Shri Kannu Bhai of Nadiyad.
“One day I dreamt that Gurudev said – “Govind mera swarup hai”
“Jo Gurudev ke sthaan pe aate hain woh Guru hi hain”
“ Swami Govindanadji was a gold medalist and a great scholar and yet He did not create His own ashram. He merged His personality in His Guru.”
“ Once Gurudev also said that Bhaskar mera swarup hai”— Shri Gautam Bhai Patel.
“ The richas of the Vedas themselves appeared as Gurudev.”
“ Just as Hanuman never left the side of Lord Rama, Swami Govindanandji also stayed by the side of His Gurudev.”
“He never delved in unnecessary talk (gup shup).”
“Karm Ko gati dene wala Bhaskar hota hai- Light is needed to give any work an impetus.”
“ The light is ever the same only the lamps ( bodies) change.”
“ Great saints take avatar and once their mission is over they merge back in the supreme light.”
“ The Supreme consciousness (Divya Jyoti) of Maharaj Shri is felt in our ashram at Sandeepany as Bhagwan Veda Sthapana was performed by Him.”
“ He was very simple and He had great devotion towards His Gurudev. This is a great trait which should be remembered and also
practiced by others.”— Shri Ramesh Bhai Ojha ‘Bhaishri’
“ God gives duty to each person. Swami Govindanandji served the position for 20 years.”– Shri Shantanandji Maharaj.
“ Sanatan Dharma’s mool adhaar is Veda Bhagwan and this was compiled by Guru Gangeshwaranandji Maharaj and He Himself resides in
Bhagwan Veda and we can also have the darshan of Govind Bhagwan and Anand Bhaskar. Sab Govind hai Sab Govind! Govind bina Koi nahi.
Just as Ganga frees us from all sin and sandal wood from any pain a Guru relieves us from any pain and calamity.”— Shri Gyandevji Maharaj.
“ Veda means knowledge. Swami Gangeshwaranandji Maharaj defined the true essence of Sanatan Dharma.
A true saint always carries forward the mission of His Gurudev. Swami Bhaskaranandji re-published the epic
‘Shrot Muni Charitra Amrit’ at the Kumbh Mela in 2010. Only a person familiar with the subject matter can do that and the capabilities and knowledge of Swami Bhaskaranandji proves that beyond doubt. This granth describes the essence of ‘ Gola Sahab’ and ‘Maatra Shastra’ the tenets of Udaseen Parampara.
Swami Bhaskaranandji is a capable saint and I have complete faith that He will in future bring forth more worthy disciples.”
—Shri Swami Maheshwardasji Maharaj.
“ Swamiji had laid the foundation of the mission and this seed is now visible as a huge tree. There were numerous richas of the Vedas that were not to be found at any one place and the difficult job of assimilating all the richas, initially preserved by oral tradition were given the form of ‘Bhagwan Veda’ .
The words of the Veda speak the eternal truth .
‘Ud’ means Brahman and ‘Seen’ means the one who is always meditating and contemplating on that Brahman. That is the meaning of Udaseen and
Gurudev were of this worthy lineage. He went all around the world and presented ‘Bhagwan Veda’ and even in the Vatican City this incredible
feat was accomplished. Swami Govindanandji accompanied His Gurudev everywhere and yet we find that He had not a trace of arrogance or pride.
If a saint takes avatar then surely he has no end for He remains immortal. Swami Bhaskaranandji is like the shadow of His Gurudev and is
surely a worthy successor.”—Shri 108 Shri Swami Kalyan Baba.
“ I have been closely associated with Swami Bhaskaranandji in Kashi when He was doing the difficult task of compiling and publishing ‘Bhagwan Veda’. A saint normally likes to be on the move but he relentlessly spent two and a half years staying in Kashi till His Gurudev’s dream mission was accomplished.
He has thorough knowledge of the svaras that are so important when putting to print Vedic mantras as without the right svaras the total meaning changes.
Earlier in the oral tradition of Guru shishya the richas were taught by way of gestures and that somehow down the ages have had not remained in original form.
He researched and made sure that there was no room for errors. Vedas are the only religious texts of the world that have the original source preserved
and this has also been declared by National Geographic . Vedas are a vast ocean.
The definition of a true disciple can be found in Shreemad Bhagwat and here it is mentioned, that a disciple is one who understands the thoughts of
His Guru without any verbal instructions and carries out the wishes of His Guru’s without fail. The one who fails to do so is definitely not worthy.
One can never become a disciple without first surrendering the ego. Swami Bhaskaranandji is like a brother to me and I know He has no ego and
“ A small boy was in vain trying to stop cars that were zipping past him . Ultimately he threw a stone at one which stopped and then he mentioned that he was forced to do so as he wished to hitch a ride to the hospital to save his ailing brother. True saints are like the cars that halt and take care of society unlike the others who are spending life without stopping and taking care of the pains of others. This example is given in most MBA courses and I take this opportunity to quote this here to highlight the efforts of the great saints that are present here. I would like to thank them all and formally conclude this Shradhanjali Sabha so that the Tilak and Chadar ceremony to formally proclaim Swami Anand Bhaskarji as the head of Guru Gangeshwar Vedic mission can take place.”—Shri Bhupendra Bhai Pandya
These are only some of the notes among many more important ones also.
Next the poojan of ‘Gola Sahab’ was performed with Swami Bhaskaranandji on one side and Shreeman Mahant Shri Raghumuniji Maharaj and Shreeman Mahant Maheshwardasji Maharaj of Panchayati Bada Akhada Udaseen Brahmansheel Jamaat on the other. He was anointed with the Tilak on his forehead and a shawl on His worthy shoulders as a mark of respect to the new Maha Mandleshwar.
He offered an ‘Ardas’ to the ‘Gola Sahab’ with a token amount and then the announcement was made that He, Swami Bhaskaranandji was now the Maha Mandleshwar of the Guru Gangeshwar Mission.
Several other saints also made ‘Ardas’ to the ‘Gola Sahab’ . This is a compulsory ritual in Udaseen Parampara and no Mahant or Maha Mandleshwar can be proclaimed without the poojan of ‘Gola Sahab’. Later the devotees also made ‘Ardas’ to the ’Gola Sahab’.
Before the disciples could be given a chance to do the Tilak and Chadar for their dear Guru who would fill the vacuum left by Swami Govindanandji Maharaj, the holy saints who sat patiently during the entire proceedings were given the priority to honor the New Maha Mandleshwar.
Such adoration and patronage we witnessed is difficult to believe and imagine, marking it as an historical event. The preparations for the food were already complete by this time and the saints ‘Pangat’ was organized separately from the householders Bhandara.
The entire function was very well organized and all the arrangements were without any error, as even the small details were taken care of. Dakshina and shawls were offered to all saints thereby giving them the right honor that this mission has always bestowed on those who participate and make the programs a great success.
