Indian Culture is the oldest in the world. Its source is the VEDAS.
It is obligation on each and every Indian to see that they survive, otherwise
the future generation would never forgive them.
In fact the culture of any nation is like a burning torch which each generation receives from the former and transfers to the next, brighter than before.
Therefore each and every HINDU house must have a text of Vedas.
Vedas are the symbol of unity and integrity. The message of the Vedas should be spread throughout the world.
The message of the Vedas is beneficial to the whole world, because according to the Vedas the whole world is like a nest, where birds with different feathers come and reside.
Guruji was very fond of Vedas
People thought that the Vedas are very difficult and the aim of Guruji was to simplify the meaning of the Ved Mantras.Guruji used to say that the simplest are the Vedas.Leaving aside the 16 Brahmanas which contain about 80, 000 Mantras, the 4 Samhitas of the 4 Vedas contain 18, 257 Mantras.
Out of the 18257 Mantras we have:
2483 for Agni 3363 for Indra 1261 for Som 474 for Marut Dev 609 for Ashwini Kumars 2335 for Ayur Ved
227 for Rudra 194 for Usha 1137 for Aditi/Aditya/Savita/Surya 2354 for Vidhwe Deva balance for 125 devas
There are totally 268 Devas out of which there are 151 main Devas which are all Vibhutis of Bhagwan: RigVed 1-64-42 which says: EKAM SAD VIPRA BAHUDA VADANTI: meaning: Saints call One only as Many.
Westerners like Rudolph, Roth, Max Mueller, Griffith, Bloomfield, Peterson, Auckland, Keith and McDallen put in a lot of effort on the Vedas. They translated, sieved a lot of Ved Mantras. When Roth and Max Mueller finished their studies of the Vedas, their Guru Rudolph asked them to promote the Vedas in Europe as Guru-dakshina.
The aim of human life is to accumulate the Love of God.
There is a lot of meaning hidden even in the number of chapters of the different Vedas like the number of Avatars, Leelas, etc..
There are 3 types of Leelas: - Vastiviki Leela (The real Leela) - like in Golok amongst Krishna + Radha + Gopis
- Vyavharik Leela (social leela) - like in Vrindavan
- Pratibhasik Leela (feelings) - Leela in Bhavna Rajya
A Bhakt says "Hey Krishna, I am not concerned whether you are in Golok, or doing social leela in Vrindavan, but in Bhavna Rajya whenever I want I can have your darshan.
Even the first Mantra of the Rigved has a meaning of Shri Krishna, or Hanuman can also be deduced as another meaning.
Now in the Vedas,
RigVed - 10 Mandals - implies 10 Avatars
Atharva Ved - 20 Mandals - implies 10 Avatars + 10 Leelas = 20
Yajur Ved - 40 Mandals - implies 10 Avatars + (3 types of Leelas x 10 Leelas) = 10 + 30 = 40
Sam Ved - 9 + 7 = 16 Chapters - implies 16 Purna Kalas of Shri Krishna = 6 Gunas + 10 Leelas = 16 Shri Krishna says: In the Vedas, I am SamVed - which points to 16 Kalas as above.
Guruji used to say that even if you say or listen ( in Guruji's recorded voice ) to the 1st Mantra from each Ved you get the benefit of all the four Vedas. If you cannot say all 4 Mantras then at least say the Gayatri Mantra (mentioned below):
AGNEEMELE PUROHITAM
